Frequently asked questions
Which countries get an APC waiver?
Mostly low and lower-middle income countries, through the Research4Life Group A and B lists, EIFL partner countries or the World Bank income groups. Each publisher uses its own list, so open your country to see which publishers waive the fee there.
Is the waiver decided by my nationality?
No. Publishers use the country of the institution you are affiliated with, as written on the manuscript.
