I do thank you for your submission to IJMR which I have now intensively checked myself. Actually while well written, I noticed that you present a purely computational study on device performance that does not touch specific materials properties and their possible modification by microstructure or chemical composition. From a materials points of view it is not natural that you can deposit two mater… read more
ials in a total thickness of about 1 nm while keeping the bulk properties of the materials down to this size. Instead one would expect important influence of interfacial intermixing and stress. In this sense, Eqs. 5 to 8 represent approximations that would have to be justified by experimental confirmation with the real materials. I could imagine that your article is well welcome to engineering journals devoted to the design of electronic devices.

Is International Journal of Materials Research right for your paper? Compare journals
Paste your title, keywords or abstract. We match it against 28,582 journal papers published by PhD researchers on ScholarsColab and show where the closest work appeared, with each journal’s indexing (SCIE, SSCI, AHCI, ESCI, Scopus, JCR 2024).
How it works: no AI or language model is used. Your words are matched against the titles of real published papers by our mentors; journals are ranked by how many closely matching papers they published. Indexing comes from the SCIE, SSCI, AHCI, ESCI, Scopus and JCR 2024 lists, matched by journal name; “not found in our indexing lists” does not prove a journal is unindexed. Always check a journal’s scope and current indexing before submitting.
